Indiana pedestrian hit and run over by a dual semi truck

As readers in Lake County, Indiana, know, drivers of motor vehicles are to yield to pedestrians who are near the road. A human life is worth far more than a driver being a in a hurry and trying to save a few minutes. Unfortunately, people do not always think this way, and therefore pedestrian accidents continue to occur on a regular basis. In fact, each year almost 80,000 pedestrians suffer injuries as a result of being struck by a car or truck.

Recently, in Indiana, a pedestrian accident occurred when a man walking along the side of a road was hit and then immediately run over by a tractor-trailer. The truck driver claims he did not see the man. The pedestrian received serious injuries and was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but was later stabilized at the facility.
