There may be some readers in Lake County, Indiana who think they are addicted to Starbucks coffee. However, one man has recently gone above and beyond to get his cup of joe in the morning. While riding his bike, the 32-year-old was involved in a pedestrian accident as he was hit by a city bus while crossing an intersection. Incredibly, he got up, walked into a nearby Starbucks and ordered a cup of coffee.
According to reports, the bicyclist walked nearly a block to the coffee shop despite the fact that his head was bleeding. The manager of the coffee shop said the man appeared to be coherent as he ordered a drip coffee. Before the man could drink his well-deserved coffee, emergency medical responders arrived at the scene and transported him to a nearby hospital after stabilizing him. Customers in the coffee shop were ushered outside as service was stopped for about 20 minutes. However, window service was not interrupted.
